The Project
From manufacture to the exposition: this seems to be the principle that builds the recent architectonic experiences around the theme of transformation and restructuring of industrial buildings. This is the case of BP Studio, situated near Florence. The building, containing the establishment and showroom, is in fact the result of a conversion and restructuring intervention of a pre-existing industrial typology.

The Florentine architect, Claudio Nardi, designed a construction with ventilated walls using ceramic elements in terracotta as basic material, as he had done in other creations of his. These materials can guarantee the reaching of optimum levels of energy exploitation. By combining innovative technology with a ‘warm’ material with strong local traditional connotations like terracotta, the project visually recalls the colours and lighting of the Florentine countryside. The result is a game of light effects and airs, emphasised by the ventilated walls that, apart from constituting a valid support to the sustainability of the building, also ads to its already extraordinary aesthetic appearance.
