THE ORGANIC STYLE
It is worthwhile examining the approach of those that, especially in North America and in North Europe, increasingly design theirs or others’ ‘nests’ using Feng-Shui and, in general, following the principles of bio-architecture. In this case, the strictly eco-friendly choice of materials and finishing is an absolute priority. Almost all the bio-architects accept the use of Cotto and ceramic materials without additives and made by clean energy. Today, with the implementation of strict criteria to allow the European Ecolabel, manufacturers have one more instrument to show, even to the most demanding designers/consumers, the credits of their eco-friendly products.

In aesthetic terms, the values communicated by the organic style are the soft shapes (space and biomorphic objects, with smooth corners and a non-aggressive look are preferred) and the warmth of the finishing. Even here, the preferred tones are those of earth and stone conjugated in all possible ways. With regard to the material quality of floor coverings, shine finishing, and perfectly standard roughness and irregularity are preferred, as it is more similar to what is found in nature. The followers of this trend are possibly the more demanding and expert interlocutors among all the categories of consumers we have examined. For this reason, they rarely give in to the flattery of communication (especially if referring only superficially to ecology) and strictly require certified information on products and their environmental impact all along their life-cycle.
