The Project
The Terme Felsinee establishment opened in 1997 and was realised through the renovation of the ex-cinema, ‘Alexander’. The centre continues the ‘bolognese’ tradition of thermal bathes, that goes back to roman times (there are still traces of the old roman bathes in via Saragozza and Galliera) and more recently, the thermal bathes of Corticella and Casaglia that were active at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The history of the thermal bathes is linked to the so-called ‘pozzo del diavolo’ or ‘devil’s well’. The name derives from what the countrymen used to call it because its water, so rich in minerals, would kill off their plants. The water travels almost 2km through the spring and its waters, rich in sulphate, are still used today in the centre.

The Terme Felsinee complex uses two kinds of mineral water: bicarbonate-sulphate-calcium and sulphuric. Both are recommended in curing diseases of the primary respiratory organs (pharingitis, laryngitis, etc.) not to mention otitis, sinusitis and bronchitis.
