THE COUNTRY STYLE
Cotto and glazed tiles are both very resistant materials to use and difficult to shock. They are particularly suitable, from a practical point of view, for country life. They are also capable, from an aesthetical point of view, of communicating well the country ‘feeling’. This is mainly exemplified by a particular finishing (shining/opaque), couplings (with stone, wood…), or thanks to a system that brings out the material quality, such as irregularities or shades.

Thanks to the technical evolution of these frost resistant materials (weather and thermal shock resistant) they are used more frequently in a hybrid form (external/internal) suggesting, also on an architectural level, the wish of living in a closer relationship with nature, rediscovering its rhythms, its silences, its simplicity, and the harmony of everyday life characterised by well-being, in the form of a psycho-physical recovery from stress.
