The Project
A knowledgeable use of continuous facades, supported by the employment of sun-breakers and apposite skylights, allowed for the realisation of a project able to exploit to the maximum natural resources to create illumination and ventilation systems that are both economical and environmentally friendly.

The intervention here described is included in a general reorganisation program and extension of the factory of the iGuzzini Illuminazione in Recanati, both realised on a project by the Parisian Studio MCA of the architect Mario Cucinella. The first phase of the works regarded the block of the Projects Office of the firm, which is divided between two industrial sheds and has only two faces, east and west.

The second phase is without doubt the more significant one. It concerns the building destined to be the central head quarters, a 9,000 metre cubed on a 2,700 metre squared surface, four storey building, intended for the administration, commercial and head offices. The building, designed around a central atrium, incorporates architectonic elements for the natural illumination and the ventilation, on the roof as on the floors.
