SHARED IS BEST
The complexity and the interconnection between the subjects illustrated in S_TILES require the integration and complimentary intervention of many players: the manufacturers in the sector, but also the designers, the distributors, the consumers and of course, the institutions concerned.

If one looks at the objectives of medium to long-term periods of sustainability, the idea itself of competition assumes inedited connotations, opens up new areas, and solicits newly combined efforts.

Shared is best confronts issues such as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), opportunities like the environmental certification of the district, instruments like the benchmarking for sustainability (FOCUS). It does this through their common denominator: the tendency to share, to exchange information, to reinforce dialogue with local communities, to overcome traditional roles (for example in the relationship between industries and designers or between manufacturers and the distribution chain).

The collection of CASE STUDIES of this section will contain the more significant projects on the subjects of public transport (airports, stations, underground), services for the general public (canteens, schools, libraries, etc.). It will also investigate how areas of recreation and relaxation are changing, including places such as shopping centres, game halls, parks, and more. These are all places that today, especially amongst very young people, have replaced areas that the preceding generations would have frequented, like the town square, clubs and circuits.
