The Project
The concept of a hospital as a ‘promoter of health’ developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) has in the last twenty years been widely circulated. According to this approach, hospital assistance should ensure that patients are able to bring to term the principles and methods of this promotion of health, described as “the process that enables people and communities to exercise a greater control over their own health and to improve it.

This can be seen particularly in hospitals where, not only have the personnel-doctor/patient relationships changed, but also where the same infrastructures have become the object of change, sometimes with very innovative results.
